A ‘medical issue’ is being blamed for the brief disappearance last week of a Goodview woman, who skipped work and traveled to Rockford by way of La Crosse.

The Goodview police department says 31-year-old Leigh Meska doesn’t remember what happened to her between last Wednesday morning, when she left home for her job in Rochester, and the next night, when she turned up in Illinois.

Meska’s family had asked police to look for her during the severe cold spell over those two days.

She had been seen in La Crosse and other area communities before she called her family to say she was okay.

Police have closed the investigation.
