Body found in burning La Crosse garage

One person has been found dead inside a burning garage in north La Crosse. 

Firefighters arrived at the 2-car garage behind a house in the 900 block of Caledonia Street, shortly after 3:30 Sunday morning. 

Heavy fire and smoke was coming from a doorway. 

A body was found inside the garage, and pronounced dead at the scene. 

The fire was out within 10 minutes of when firefighters arrived at the garage.

The fire and police departments are investigating. 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
