Golf Course Work Starting Before Snow Thaws
It may not seem like the weather for it, but golf training is this week at Forest Hills in La Crosse. It’s actually training for those who work at the city-owned course. Getting ready for a season start that’s still months away. But course manager Keith Stoll, with Kemper Sports managemnet, is ready to get going. He says going into spring involves a bunch of unknowns. Stoll recognizes that last year’s Spring at the course was a bit of a struggle and he’s planning on making big improvements at this course this Spring. The city council this month has approved extending Kemper’s management contract at the course for another year.
