WAIT ON MURDER EVIDENCE
THE TRAIL IN A 25-YEAR-OLD MURDER MYSTERY IN LA CROSSE HAS COOLED OFF A BIT, AND A LOCAL INVESTIGATOR ISN’T HAPPY.
LA CROSSE SHERIFF’S CAPTAIN KURT PAPENFUSS SAID LAST MONTH THAT MORE INFORMATION ON THE MURDER OF TERRY DOLOWY COULD BE RELEASED SOON. BUT PAPENFUSS IS STILL WAITING FOR NEWS FROM A FORENSIC ANTHROPOLOGIST IN MINNESOTA WHO’S BEEN STUDYING REMAINS OF DOLOWY, WHO WAS KILLED 25 YEARS AGO THIS MONTH. HE SAYS HE’S BEGINNING TO DOUBT THE ABILITY OF THAT ANTHROPOLOGIST.
