IT MAY BE A WHILE BEFORE SHE CAN GET BACK TO REGULAR EXERCISE…OR TO SINGING WITH A JAZZ GROUP AT U-W-LA CROSSE.

BUT CLARE MALINOWSKI IS HAPPY TO BE BACK IN THE CLASSROOM AFTER GOING THROUGH CARDIAC ARREST IN AN EXERCISE ROOM IN LATE JANUARY. CLARE AND HER PARENTS CELEBRATED HER RETURN AT A CAMPUS RECEPTION ON FRIDAY. AFTERWARD, THE 20-YEAR-OLD STUDENT TOLD REPORTERS ABOUT ADJUSTMENTS SHE HAS TO MAKE, FOR THE COMING WEEKS.  SHE HAS TO TAKE IT EASY WHILE EXERCISING, AND SHE’S NOT ALLOWED TO DRIVE A CAR FOR THE NEXT SIX MONTHS.

 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
