OTTERS AND COUGARS AND BEARS…WHERE ARE THEY?
THE MAJOR ANIMAL DISPLAYS PLANNED FOR THE MYRICK HIXON ECO-PARK IN LA CROSSE ARE STILL ABOUT A YEAR AWAY. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JIM GALLAGHER SAYS PLENTY OF CONSTRUCTION IS IN THE WORKS AT THE PARK FOR THIS YEAR, WITH ANIMALS NOT DUE FOR LIVE EXHIBIT UNTIL THE SUMMER OF 2011.
MEANWHILE, GALLAGHER SAYS THE NEW ECO-CENTER BUILDING AT MYRICK HAS BEEN BUSY THROUGHOUT THE WINTER…WITH SCHOOL GROUPS AND LOCAL CLUBS VISITING. NEXT WEEK, LIVE RAPTORS WILL BE DISPLAYED AT THE BUILDING, AS PART OF AN EXHIBIT ON PEREGRINE FALCONS.
