IT Audit Approved for City

A deeper look into the information technology goings on in city hall looks like a certainty . The La Crosse city council finance committee has approved spending thousands on an audit of the city’s IT department. The audit was called for after the city’s IT director was hauled from his job in shackles by FBI agents in late January. David Montealegre now faces federal fraud charges in Texas. The charges stem from a bankruptcy filing from several years ago.
