Patros Purchase Given Tentative Approval
La Crosse is getting close to fulfilling a waterfront vision that’s decades old. The city council’s finance committee has approved paying the nearly two million dollars for the eleven acre Patros property between Copeland avenue and the Black River. The final piece in a big jigsaw puzzle of development project land, giving the city 65 acres in the area.
No plans on how to develop the land yet. City planner Larry Kirch says the public should be involved in those decisions.
