Ex-banker Admits To Theft

TODAY, HE PLEADS GUILTY TO STEALING MONEY FROM DOZENS OF HIS CUSTOMERS…

FORMER BANKER DON JOHNSON WILL BE SENTENCED IN A FEW WEEKS FOR THE THEFT OF OVER 800-THOUSAND DOLLARS. JOHNSON FLED THE CITY IN 1995, LEAVING BEHIND LETTERS TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY SAYING HE COULD NOT EXPLAIN WHAT HE HAD DONE. THE 67-YEAR-OLD JOHNSON VOLUNTARILY RETURNED A FEW MONTHS AGO. HIS POSSIBLE SENTENCE COULD BE 10 YEARS IN PRISON. FAMILY MEMBERS AND POTENTIALLY DOZENS OF HIS CUSTOMERS WHO LOST MONEY COULD ATTEND JOHNSON’S SENTENCING, WHICH HAS NOT YET BEEN SCHEDULED.

 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
