Community Theatre Moves Ahead On Building Plan
GETTING A BILL SIGNED BY THE GOVERNOR THIS WEEK IS JUST ONE OF MANY STEPS NEEDED FOR A LA CROSSE ARTS GROUP TO REALIZE ITS MASTER PLAN…
THE LA CROSSE COMMUNITY THEATRE CAN PROCEED WITH BUILDING DESIGNS AND A FUND-RAISING DRIVE, NOW THAT THE STATE SAYS THE THEATRE IS EXEMPT FROM PROPERTY TAXES. ONE PIECE OF LAND, DONATED BY DON WEBER, REMAINS THE PREFERRED SITE FOR A NEW THEATRE. L-C-T BOARD PRESIDENT CHUCK ROTH SAYS THE THEATRE WILL CONTINUE TO TALK WITH WEBER ABOUT HOW THEIR PLANS FOR GROWTH FIT IN WITH HIS PLANS. ROTH SAYS THE EARLIEST THAT A NEW THEATRE COULD BE BUILT IS ABOUT THREE YEARS.
