City Fee Increases Moving Forward

New, higher inspection fees for plumbing, electrical and HVAC are closer to reality in the city of La Crosse. The city council rules committee has voted to approve a fee schedule first introduced last year. The city planning department was to study the fees and a special committee was created to evaluate whether the fees were in line with other communities. That special committee has met one time and wanted to hold off on the fee increases for 12 months. The full city council votes on the fee increases next week.
