Loggers Lease Expected to Get Finalized Today
After well over a year of negotiations and with a deadline looming, the city of La Crosse and the La Crosse Loggers seem poised to finally ink a new deal for the team to continue playing at Copeland Park for the next ten years. In fact, Andrea Richmond, the city council member who chairs the committee negotiating a new lease, guarantees a new lease before the current one expires at the end of August. And a good lease, too, says Richmond, especially with extra money from the Loggers getting put back into the park
The city is still working on a separate agreement for the UWL baseball team to play at Copeland.
