A judge in Jackson County has set murder suspect Michael Harmon’s bond at half-a-million dollars.

Harmon was attending his first court hearing today, since being arrested in June for the shooting death of his girlfriend, Angela Nelson. A pre-trial conference in the case is set for August 14th. Judge Thomas Lister ordered Harmon not to have contact with Nelson’s family, or with his ex-girlfriend Billie Jo Harwick. After Nelson was shot at her apartment in Black River Falls, Harwick allegedly drove Harmon to Milwaukee, where he hid out for almost two weeks.
