Tomah Crash Victim Blew Red Light

Tomah Police now know what caused a crash there last week that killed a 29

year old woman.

 

The investigation has identified the van driven by Stevie Jorgensen was traveling south on N. Superior Avenue when it failed to stop for a red light. Jorgensen’s vehicle was struck on the driver side by a car going west on Veterans Street, driven by Dean Pierce of Tomah. The impact of the crash resulted in Jorgensen’s van hitting a car on W. Veterans Street that was waiting to make a left turn. That car driven by Deana Brabant, also of Tomah.

 

Jorgensen’s van overturned and came to rest on the passenger side. Jorgensen was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The autopsy revealed Stevie Jorgensen died as a result of massive head injuries.
