City Celebrates Friday Farmer’s Markets At Cameron Park

The latest improvement to a popular area of downtown La Crosse is complete…

The last part of the Hanifl Canopy at Cameron Park has been re-opened, and Mayor Tim Kabat was among the VIP’s celebrating the history of the Market Square area on Friday, along with members of the Hanifl family, who urged the park department to finish the canopy along King Street. The canopy is the centerpiece of the Friday farmers’ market that happens at Cameron during the summer. The project began almost 10 years ago, and cost more than 350-thousand dollars.

 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
