5th Charter School Coming To Sparta
The Sparta School District is using a $175 thousand grant to develop another
charter school. Their fifth. The new school will offer students a curriculum focused on science, technology, engineering and math. Superintendent, John Hendricks says this is a full time school.
The new STEM school for students in sixth, seventh and eighth grades will utilize hands on projects that focus on STEM topics to learn key concepts while emphasizing problem solving and other 21st Century skills. The school is slated to open in the fall of 2014.
