Convicted Rapist To Be Deported From La Crosse County

A convicted rapist won’t be staying in La Crosse, or America, much longer…

Momodou Kinteh will be deported from the U-S under an agreement in La Crosse County court. Kinteh pled no contest to sexual assault last week, just as he was about to go on trial. Last August, Kinteh assaulted a woman that he met outside a bar on 5th Avenue. He was sentenced to the time served in the county jail, plus extended supervision if he remains in the country. He said he’s originally from Gambia, but authorities don’t know if that’s true.

 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
