West Salem Dinosaur Sculptures Are No Longer Tyrannosaurus Wrecks

It could have cost up to four thousand dollars to spruce up a trio of dinosaurs on display in West Salem…

But one village trustee found a way to keep the repainting cost to just around 100 bucks…and now, the sculptures have been painted to maintain their looks. Village trustee Merlin Wehrs says the metal dinosaurs are a landmark for people traveling in the area.  Wehrs says now that the statues have been fixed up, he’d like to see the village do more to promote them as an attraction.

 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
