Fire Damages Marquee And Box Office At Hollywood

He was hoping to have an old movie theater open again for a New Year’s party…

But Phil Addis says a fire last night at the Hollywood Theater is a setback to the original schedule for renovating the building. Firefighters discovered an apparent electrical fire in the marquee area of the Hollywood, and it spread to the box office.

 

The Hollywood was built in the 1930’s, and has been closed for a few years. Addis says the box office and the theater roof will have to be repaired before the building renovation gets into high gear.
