Boat Motor Stolen, Found on Neighbor’s Boat

When you want to take your boat out for a cruise, few things are as frustrating as when your boat’s motor has been swiped.  Happened at La Crosse’s municipal boat harbor just a few days ago.  An old outboard stolen off a small houseboat.  Owner didn’t have to look far to find it.  Apparently turned up on the back of another houseboat in the harbor just a few slips down.  The thief spray-painted it black in an apparent attempt to hide it.  But the forty year old Chrysler was a little too distinctive to miss.  The accused motor thief swears he bought it off some guy named “Red” for fifty bucks.
