Council to Vote on Kisken Bills Tonight
In a time of tough budgets, the La Crosse city council tonight will vote on whether to pay a big legal bill from an outside law firm. The council will decide on the two hundred thousand dollars the city is on the hook for so far into the investigation of former municipal prosecutor Pete Kisken and another employee. Necessary to get that outside help, says mayor Tim Kabat, rather than use the city’s own legal department
Kabat tells us he doesn’t see an end to the legal bills that taxpayers will incur because of Kisken’s wrongful termination actions against the city.
