Flood Named As New Vets Officer For La Crosse County

A change in command is taking place at the La Crosse County veterans service office…

Iraq War veteran Adam Flood will begin work later this month as the chief veterans’ officer for the county. Flood is succeeding Jim Gausmann in that post, and he says a variety of medical, financial, and other services will remain available to vets in La Crosse County.

 

Flood says he wants to reach out to vets of all ages, and to their families, to make sure that they can get access to important services.

 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
