Rescued Swimmer Dies

A swimmer rescued from Swift Creek in La Crosse yesterday by first responders has now died.  Police say the drowning victim apparently got tired and went under while swimming with friends at about 4:30 yesterday afternoon.  The dive rescue team made a recovery and took the swimmer still alive to the hospital.  Police say an autopsy will be performed although foul play is not suspected.  The name of the victim is being withheld for now.
