Three Buildings Destroyed In Downtown Winona Fire

Crews already have torn down the downtown Winona building where a large fire is believed to have started this morning…

The fire was first reported around 2 a.m. at the Islamic Center, on the corner of Third and Center in Winona. Flames spread to adjoining buildings on both streets, with half-a-dozen businesses affected, including a law office. Three buildings are a total loss, according to Winona Fire Chief Curt Bittle. The exact cause of the fire has not been determined.
