Monroe County Board Could Shrink Next Year
The size of the Monroe County Board could shrink from 26 people now to 16
next year if approved by the voters. Supervisor Pete Peterson joined with Supervisors Gene Treu and James Rasmussen in organizing a petition drive in hopes of saving money, increasing the board’s efficiency and flexibility. They, so far, have been successful.
1,900 signatures were validated by the County Clerk last week to place the item on the April ballot.
