Opening Duck Day, Part 2

With La Crosse county among those straddling a couple of waterfowl hunting zones, there’s two opening days for eager duck hunters to try their luck.   Tomorrow is the opener for the southern zone.  Which, hopefully, says La Crosse warden, Ed McCann, will be better than last week-end’s opener for the Mississippi River Zone.  That one, he says, was phenomenally bad for hunters

the southern zone season closes on October 6th.  Both zones open back up to hunters on October 12th.
