Council Committee Grants All Exemptions Again

Fears about negative personal financial impacts due to La Crosse’s rental conversion moratorium have yet to be realized.  At least not for the 18 property owners who have applied for an exemption from the moratorium based on some sort of claimed hardship.  Although the city’s inspection department has recommended against most of the applications, the council committee that determines the validity of the requests has approved every one.  18 for 18.  Meanwhile, the six month moratorium is set to expire in about three more months.
