Will the La Crosse School District see a reduction of $2.4 million in state
aid in 2013-14? According to the Department of Public Instruction, yes. According to Janet Rossiter with the district, no. And she tell us the report should never have came out in the first place.
As required by state statute, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction certified the amount of state aid each school district will receive from the $4.3 billion in state school aid available under current law. Numbers that won’t be known for months yet.
