Did the Partial Shutdown Damage Some Up For Re-Election?
There’s already talk that the partial government shutdown and another looming
in 3 months, has done damage to some running for re-election. Like Republican leader, Mitch McConnell of Kentucky. For others, they knew what month it was according to UW-L Professor, Joe Heim.
The agreement was brokered by the Senate’s top Democrat and McConnel. They stepped in after the House was unable to wrap themselves around a Republican only approach. The shutdown sent approval of the GOP plummeting in opinion polls.
