Deck Fall Injures Several In Winona

It was homecoming weekend in Winona this weekend and too many people partying

on a deck at an apartment maybe to blame for a deck collapsing. The deck was about one story off the ground and the incident sent multiple people to the hospital.

The Winona Fire Department said at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday, it received a call that a deck collapsed at a building on West Mark Street. The department didn’t confirm how many people were injured or how severe their injuries were.

A witness said about 5 or 6 people were on the deck when it fell.
