Attorney General Candidate In La Crosse
Wisconsin residents will not have an incumbent attorney general to vote
for in 2014…
With J-B Van Hollen announcing his retirement, candidates are already jumping into the race more than a year before the election. One of those candidates, Assemblyman Jon Richards, traveled to La Crosse over the weekend to meet western Wisconsin voters. Richards is a Milwaukee Democrat who serves on the Joint Finance Committee. He argues that while the state justice department’s main focus is on crime, the A-G works on many other issues:
Richards announced his campaign last week, as did Republican Brad Schimel, the district attorney of Waukesha County.
