Loggers Show Off Empty Field
The weather forecast for tonight’s World Series opener in Boston calls for
winds and cold air…which sounds just like what folks experienced at La Crosse’s Copeland Park yesterday.
A few dozen baseball backers braved chilly October conditions to check out the renovations being done on the Loggers ball field, also to be used by U-W-La Crosse. University athletic director Josh Whitman praised the community for showing its support on a blustery day:
A gravel infield at the Lumberyard is being laid now, to be covered by the astroturf which will be used for ball games beginning in the spring.
