Alternate Side Parking to Start
It’s back to normal this year for alternate side parking in La Crosse. A special exempt area set up around the UWL campus for the last three winters is no longer in place, so the entire city is governed by the alternate side rules: Park on the side of the street with odd addresses on odd numbered days. Even on even-numbered days. Pretty simple. Though La Crosse police write thousands of the tickets every winter. Alternate side parking begins on Friday for La Crosse as well as in Onalaska, West Salem and Holmen.
