Hotel Developers Interested In Courthouse Parking Lot

What would it take for the city of La Crosse to bring in bigger conventions than it gets now?

Maybe, just one more nice hotel in the right location. Members of the La Crosse County Board are hearing that the courthouse square parking lot could be just the site for such a hotel. Brian Fukuda is a community development specialist for the county, and he says a few dozen more hotel rooms could be a big draw for meeting planners.  Fukuda says a site fairly close to the La Crosse Center would be more appealing to developers than the Mobil Oil property, or the old Holiday Inn land on the pike.
