Assembly Expected To Pass School Credit Measure

A measure in front of the state assembly today would make high schoolers take three credits of math and science. Currently it’s two. The bill also gives schools flexibility to award math and science credits to students who are in career and technical education programs. Dr. Kris Mueller with the La Crosse School District says she sees the advantages of the change.

The proposal comes as the state’s school districts are implementing more rigorous academic requirements and it would also bring Wisconsin more in line with neighboring states. If passed…..it goes to the Govenror.
