Leaf Pick-up Continues in La Crosse

Leaves are not stuck on the boulevards until spring.  La Crosse city public works director Dale Hexom says his crews will still be out today to suck up leaves despite the little about of snow that’s covering them.  The leaf crews are on their last pass through the city and will probably be at it for a few more days.  Meanwhile, if you’re getting impatient or missed the leaf trucks, you can still drop leaves off at the yard waste site at Isle la Plume even though the site is officially closed.  Hexom says, just dump them on the existing leaf pile.   Just leaves though, says Hexom, don’t drop off any brush.
