Bloody Knife Not a Notable Find in Context
Any other time of year, a grisly finding from this week-end in La Crosse might raise more eyebrows. Cops say they responded to a report of a hunting knife in the street on the southside. The blade had residue of blood and fat and flesh. And hair. But, as the officer looked closer, he realized that the hair was very likely from a whitetail deer. Not unusual considering Saturday was the opening of the state’s nine day gun deer hunt.
