How Thick Is Thick?
As the woods in the state will be filled with hunters one last time for the
gun deer season this weekend……some other hunting will be going on. Hunting in the Wisconsin waters. Ice has formed already in the La Crosse area….we asked Anthony Larson with Coulee Region Adventures…how thick the ice is already.
There really is no sure answer as to when ice is safe, and no such thing as 100 percent safe ice. You cannot judge the strength of ice by one factor like its appearance, age, thickness, temperature or whether the ice is covered with snow.
