Effort Underway to Coordinate Surveillance Network
La Crosse police may soon have a better handle on a problem with various formats of video surveillance in use. Colleges, government and big companies are coming up with a plan to coordinate camera purchases in the future to make all the cameras compatible. A huge deal for police working to solve crimes, says Tom Lynch with the La Crosse City Vision Foundation
Lynch’s group is the one raising money for a surveillance camera network downtown. A network that will also be part of the larger compatible camera surveillance net for the city.
