Drug Dog Fetches Cash From Rotary
Some Rotary Club money going to the dogs today. Specifically, it’s one dog. And it’s a lot of money. The Valley View Rotary this morning presents a check for $16,500 to the La Crosse police department to help pay for the newest drug dog on the force, Zaback. Rotary launched into fundraising for the dog after hearing from police lieutenant Dan Kloss about how serious the drug problem in the city really is
Janie Spencer from Rotary. The group’s donation is added to the fifty thousand dollars the city has budgeted for Zaback who only responds to German commands and will be working third shift.
