Lawmakers Applaud New Student Union Decision

The approval of building a $53 million student union on the UW-L campus has

been applauded by two state lawmakers. Senator Jennifer Shilling and Representative Jill Billings, who represent the campus community, have supported this project throughout the state approval process. Billings says students like new buildings…..period.

The project has been estimated to create over 900 new jobs and $102 million in economic activity when construction begins it next year.
