La Crosse Center To Gain Study Committee?
Does the La Crosse Center really need another study, to justify renovations
or an expansion? There’s some disagreement among Center board members about the value of a study that would have to be authorized by the city council. Board member Phil Addis was the lone dissenter in a vote for a study. Addis says most of the independent study would cover information that Center management already knows about the age and condition of the building that opened in 1980. Board member Doug Farmer argues that council members prefer to see a study done by an outside observer, to prove that changes need to be made.
