Sky Will Light Up Tonight
For plenty of people in La Crosse, a midnight fireworks show on the bluffs
takes up just a few minutes of their New Year’s partying. But for the people who actually set up the fireworks, the Skyrockers show is a day-long marathon. Jonathan Vermes of the Skyrockers says the fireworks experts will spend most of the day and night on top of Grandad Bluff, getting ready for the late-night lights:
Besides the midnight Skyrockers show, there’s also the early-bird display at 6 p-m. Another show of lights wraps up tonight, closer to the river. It’s the final night of Rotary Lights for the season, with two million Christmas lights staying on later, until about an hour after midnight.
