Billings Set To Release A Human Trafficking Act

The June Kjome Social Justice Conference held last November in La Crosse shed

new light on human trafficking. Since then, State Rep. Jill Billings has introduced legislation called the Predator Accountability Act. Billings says human trafficking is becoming a growing problem in Wisconsin.

Pursuant to the Predator Accountability Act, a victim of an act of commercial sexual exploitation would be able to bring a civil action against the person who committed the act of commercial sexual exploitation, which includes, human trafficking, among other crimes.
