CAPX 2020 Back Again
Citizens groups Citizens Energy Task Force and Wisconsin SOUL want the Public
Service Commission to re-open it’s books pertaining to the CAPX 2020 high voltage line project. Deb Severson says new information has become available that negates or defers the need for the line, and decreases the projected benefits and value of the line.
She also says another point is that Xcel Energy shows slight declines in Wisconsin energy needs, a 1.2% decline in Minnesota, and does not forecast a rapid rebound. Severson says this new information shows the forecast to be grossly overstated. The PSC doe not have to obide by the request though.
