Measure Would Allow Sunday Liquor Sales in Minnesota

Sundays may not be so thirsty in Minnesota in the near future.  A rebublican state lawmaker has proposed erasing the state’s ban on most Sunday alcohol sales.  But Preston state rep, Greg Davids says liquor store owners don’t want to be open on Sundays

And, Davids says, it’s unrealistic for liquor stores to close willingly when other stores can open.  Davids’ opposition to the Sunday sales proposal also is based on his own beliefs about observing the Sabbath; resting on the seventh day…without buying a six pack at the store to do it.
