School Board Votes On New Name and Referendum
To some, naming a new school was not that big of a deal. For many in La
Crosse though, it was. And the new school being built on the city’s Northside now has a name. Before the board voted last night, members heard comments….like the ones given by teacher, Deb Keller.
And even 5th grade student, Kayla Korisch.
The board took the comments into consideration and unanimously voted to name it Northside Elementary.
The board, also voted in favor of placing a five year $23.75 million referendum on the April ballot. Money for programs, technology and building safety and maintenance.
