A La Crosse school finally gets a name. Dan Deicher has more.
At the La Crosse School Board meeting last night, two large items were voted on. The first, what to name the elementary school currently being built on the city’s northside. 5th grade student, Kayla Korisch addressed the board before the vote.
Seems as though the board agreed with Kayla….naming it Northside Elementary School. The school should be open this fall. Now the board also voted on a $23.75 million referendum which will appear on the April ballot. The money will cover technology, security and instruction costs. It’s the district’s third referendum in ten years.
