Frankly Franken Likes Farm Bill
The US Senate is expected to vote in the next week on the five year Farm Bill
that the House approved Wednesday. Senate Ag Committee chairwoman Debbie Stabenow says her chamber has passed the legislation twice with overwhelming bi partisan support and she expects the same again. Senator Al Franken of Minnesota agrees.
Some Republicans said the one percent cut in food aid was too little, while many Democrats said it was too much. The food stamp cut, however does not effect those folks living in Minnesota.
