Alcohol A Factor In Ahmann Crash Into Swift Creek

A Winona woman died of accidental drowning after a New Year’s Eve crash into Swift Creek in La Crosse…

That ruling comes from the La Crosse medical examiner’s office, in the death of 21-year-old Ellie Ahmann. Examiner Tim Candahl says alcohol was a factor in the accident, with Ahmann’s blood alcohol level at point-1-6-5. Ahmann’s car went off Jackson Street near the brewery, went down an embankment, and traveled on the ice before breaking through and sinking in the creek.
